We know that many people are hesitant to attend worship services at an unfamiliar church. To help alleviate any apprehensions you may have regarding this congregation, we have made our Bible studying materials available to you at no charge. Teaching the word of God is an important part of our services. You will observe that the Bible is the textbook to which reference is repeatedly made in our sermons and classes (2 Timothy 3:16-17). We strive to do nothing more, nothing less, and nothing else than what the Bible says.

Each week we upload at least one message usually presented by our local evangelist that is based on the word of God. We invite and encourage you to download our lessons to use for your Bible studies. You will find that each sermon will have several references to a variety of books from the Bible. If you are unable to download the mp3 version of the sermon, we also offer a free of charge service to burn the lesson on CD and ship it to you! Sermon Snapshots

Sermon Snapshots are designed to improve your personal study life and presentation of spiritual topics to friends and neighbors in a simple and exciting manner! Brush up on biblical topics or spread the news of the Gospel by passing these brochures out to any and all who are open to hear the simple and powerful message of Jesus Christ! Snapshots are a great tool to use when sitting across the table from a neighbor or friend and following a step by step outline on a specific scriptural topic. Each lesson will also contain links to similar topics for enhanced and more in depth study. Feel free to download or request a cd and follow the snapshot along with the actual lesson preached by our very own evangelist Lanny Smith. If you would like a personal bible study with our evangelist or Elders please contact us as well. Hopefully after your reading, you will want to further enhance your knowledge on the subject and we can provide that through personal study, in-depth sermons on CD, or downloadable content on our website!

Our local evangelist also edits a weekly bulletin containing one or many lessons that will either expand on the current lesson or cover a different topic. Each bulletin will contain scriptural references as well as accreditations to the author. While we do offer the bulletin as a free download, we only ask that you reference the material for any reproduction or distribution. Each bulletin can be viewed as text on your browser or downloaded as a PDF. Click here to view our current inventory of available bulletins.

Adult Bible Classes

Each Sunday and Wednesday evenings, the adults will gather in the main auditorium or in a classroom for a lesson based on a central theme for that quarter. These lessons can be downloaded as mp3s or can be ordered on CD to be sent to you. Some of the topics will range from books in the Bible (Mark, 1 Thessalonians, etc...) to concepts taught in the Bible (Sermon on the mount, Denominationalism, etc...). Some of the lessons will have handouts for the audience to follow along and are also available to download. The current lessons as well as an inventory of previous lessons can be found here.

Children's Bible Class

At Fishers church of Christ, we offer Bible classes to children of all ages. We encourage all parents to bring their children to gain more insight of God and His Son. Each class is taught by Christians who are motivated and who will encourage your child to participate in each lesson. Toddlers even as young as 2 can learn about praying, about God and His Son, Jesus! As your child matures, each class will dig a bit deep into the Bible so s/he will be equipped with the knowledge and understanding of what God expects from us.

Women's Bible Study

Women have played a prominent role in the Bible throughout the scriptures; and characters such as Esther, Ruth, Deborah, and Mary are excellent examples for the women of our day. As Christians, we are commanded to teach and admonish; and in Titus 2:3-5, the author states, “Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God”.

Men's Bible Study

Aside from regular our worship and Bible study periods, the men at the Fishers church of Christ meet once a month in the auditorium to study the Bible. The study is centered around a group discussion, bringing in personal experiences, questions, and viewpoints of the men in attendance. Participation in the men's Bible study is recommended and encouraged for the further development of our new Christians as well as men who have spent the majority of their lives working in the church. Unfortunately recordings are not made available, but handouts are available to those who wish to follow along.
